Production Manager

Company Background:

Position Overview:

The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, profitable, and timely manufacture of our VERSA-GAS™ and SEMI-GAS® gas delivery equipment. This position integrates and coordinates our MRP system with production control, purchasing, inventory control, and labor. The Production Manager is hands-on, directly impacting production continuity and balance, manufacturing schedules, material requisition, equipment maintenance, employee relations, and is accountable for ensuring the safe operation of the plant and compliance with applicable industry standards, AES policies, and typical manufacturing procedures.

The Production Manager must also demonstrate exceptional people skills and be fully competent in the hiring, motivating, and engagement of approximately 25 subordinates.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all production activities.
  • Follow all industry standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure department meets those schedules.
  • Manage purchasing and maintain inventory levels to meet production demands.
  • Drive the department to a Lean Manufacturing state.
  • Support planning and implementation of continuous improvement projects, always seeking to eliminate waste, reduce cost and lead times, and improve efficiency.
  • Perform longer term capacity analysis of the department to plan and implement actions necessary to meet those future demand requirements.
  • Communicate business information to hourly associates to keep them informed of business needs and status.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with other departments to ensure smooth product flow and consistency throughout the plant.
  • Plan & coordinate preventative maintenance downtime to meet production requirements to maximize equipment availability.
  • Track, analyze and improve key production metrics required to meet the business goals.
  • Work with the Human Resources department to obtain necessary resources to meet the business needs.
  • Ensure the plant policies are fairly administered throughout the department.
  • Maintain positive employee relations throughout the plant.

  • 5-8 years’ production experience

  • 5-8 years’ managerial experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP or ERP software

Controls Engineer

Company Background:

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for engineering control solutions for various types of SEMI-GAS® and VERSA-GAS™ automatic and semi-automatic gas delivery systems. This includes engineering-to-order standard product offerings as well as designing custom controls solutions, including both hardware and software. The Controls Engineer will also be responsible for testing and providing troubleshooting support to our field service engineers, technicians, or end users.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, select, maintain, program and help commission automatic and semi-automatic gas delivery system controls
  • Develop and maintain proper documentation of all electrical/controls projects
  • Work closely with the final assembly team to integrate controls into system manufacturing
  • Provide troubleshooting support to field installation engineers, technicians, and end users
  • Understand and program GigaGuard™ and vRun™ controllers using several different programming styles, including ladder logic, structured text
  • Optimize and improve HMI’s
  • Ensure that final products conform to functional specifications and customer requirements
  • Participate in weekly controls engineering project meetings
  • Support product standardization initiative
  • Support quality improvement programs
  • Support UL manufacturing program
  • Aid in the improvement of work flow processes and procedures
  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects
  • Minimal business travel ( < 10%)

  • 1-3 years’ experience troubleshooting hardware in a factory setting
  • Proficiency in CAD working with electrical diagrams and drawings
  • MRP/ERP software experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Start-up and commissioning experience is a plus

Customer Service Representative

Position Overview:

The objective of this position is to uphold and improve the company’s exceptional reputation by ensuring the highest level of customer service to new and existing customers across various verticals and product lines, from the point of lead generation through to order fulfillment. In addition to answering customer inquiries, this position will also process customer orders and communicate order status in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Receive and respond to incoming e-mail and telephone inquiries in a clear and personable manner
  • Monitor and resolve customer problems quickly and favorably
  • Enter, review, and acknowledge purchase orders and contracts
  • Generate internal sales orders and amendments

Field Installer/ Production Technician

Position Overview:

The objective of this position is to provide on-site field support to our high and ultra-high purity gas delivery systems, in addition to installing ultra-high purity gas piping lines in a variety of environments, ranging from R&D and university laboratories to high tech cleanrooms, fabs, and manufacturing facilities. Project assignments are typically regional, and can last for a week up to a month, and require stays away from home for about 40% of the calendar year. All travel expenses, including lodging and per diem, are compensated by the company. The Field Installer reports to a Field Team Leader and is responsible for completing a variety of hands-on trade related tasks, such as welding, tool operation, lifting, carrying, drilling, hammering, mounting, installing, etc.

When not on assignment, the Field Installer reports to our Production Manager at our headquarters in Malvern, PA and works as a member of our production team, assisting with the manufacture of our gas delivery equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Project Supervisor to configure equipment and piping layout
  • Help order project supplies and materials
  • Install gas equipment, piping supports, hangers, and stainless steel gas lines
  • Assemble materials and equipment at job site
  • Follow project specifications and drawings
  • Safely use hand and power tools
  • Repair equipment and components
  • Resolve problems
  • Perform analytical testing, as well as system and line validation
  • Follow facility, industry, company, and government safety regulations
  • Orbitally weld stainless steel gas tubing

  • Ability to use and safely operate hand and power tools
  • Proficiency in measuring and performing basic mathematics
  • Pipe and tube welding experience is a plus
