Accounting Clerk (Part Time)

Company Background:

Founded in 1968, Applied Energy Systems is the premier gas delivery equipment and service provider to the semiconductor, photovoltaics, R&D, and government industries.  As a small manufacturing company (60 employees) serving thousands of customers domestically and worldwide, we form long standing relationships with our clients, providing them with the gas delivery equipment excellence they need to scale their businesses from the earliest stages of innovation to their emergence as global market leaders.

Position Overview:

The objective of this part time (20-25 hours) position is to provide clerical support services to our accounting department. Primary responsibilities will include data entry and processing accounts payables. Support varies based on the department’s needs and requirements and can span all areas relating to the company’s financial activities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage AES email inbox for supplier invoices
  • Match purchase orders to invoices
  • Data entry of invoices
  • Match checks to invoices
  • Prepare supplier payments for mailing
  • File a/p documents in pre-payment or paid files
  • Maintaining records
  • Making copies
  • Special projects

Required Experience:

  • High School degree preferred

Quality Assurance Manager II

Company Background:

Position Overview:

The objective of this position is to uphold the company’s reputation by controlling and guaranteeing product and service quality. This position will oversee a small team of quality inspectors and will manage inspection and process control programs leading to high levels of customer satisfaction and “best in class” quality standards.

In addition to directing departmental activities, this position also inspects and tests parts, subassemblies, systems, and processes for conformance to company standards using written specifications, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools. In tandem with Engineering and Production Management, the Quality Assurance Manager is also accountable for increasing product quality, lowering costs, and improving on-time delivery performance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate incoming inspections
  • Monitor, track, and report non-conformances
  • Implement and administer company validation program
  • Coordinate corporate analytical product sampling program
  • Oversee and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee and maintain calibration records
  • Implement and monitor supplier scorecards
  • Maintain product consistency through in-process QC checks
  • Perform cost of quality reporting
  • Strive to reduce customer complaints and avoid future problems
  • Develop work instructions, process maps, and procedures
  • Oversee ISO 13485 quality management system
  • Provide management with risk analysis
  • Establish and maintain policy for testing and quality documentation for all products
  • Implement ongoing quality improvement processes
  • Perform internal and external audits
  • Develop and manage quality metrics for interdepartmental performance
  • Manage the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including allocating resources to meet delivery dates
  • Assure the viability, functionality, and effectiveness of QA essential tools
  • Verify parts to drawings as well as perform analytical testing
  • Work with customer service to initiative and close RMAs
  • Support and address quality personnel issues as well as provide EE development programs
  • Participate in 5S

Field Installer/ Production Technician

Company Background:

Position Overview:

The objective of this position is to provide on-site field support to our high and ultra-high purity gas delivery systems, in addition to installing ultra-high purity gas piping lines in a variety of environments, ranging from R&D and university laboratories to high tech cleanrooms, fabs, and manufacturing facilities. Project assignments are typically regional, and can last for a week up to a month, and require stays away from home for about 40% of the calendar year. All travel expenses, including lodging and per diem, are compensated by the company. The Field Installer reports to a Field Team Leader and is responsible for completing a variety of hands-on trade related tasks, such as welding, tool operation, lifting, carrying, drilling, hammering, mounting, installing, etc.

When not on assignment, the Field Installer reports to our Production Manager at our headquarters in Malvern, PA and works as a member of our production team, assisting with the manufacture of our gas delivery equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Project Supervisor to configure equipment and piping layout
  • Help order project supplies and materials
  • Install gas equipment, piping supports, hangers, and stainless steel gas lines
  • Assemble materials and equipment at job site
  • Follow project specifications and drawings
  • Safely use hand and power tools
  • Repair equipment and components
  • Resolve problems
  • Perform analytical testing, as well as system and line validation
  • Follow facility, industry, company, and government safety regulations
  • Orbitally weld stainless steel gas tubing

Essentials:

  • Proficiency in measuring and performing basic mathematics
  • Pipe and tube welding experience is a plus

Technical Inside Sales Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Technical Inside Sales Engineer to join our SEMI-GAS® and VERSA-GAS™ sales team.  The objective of this position is to ensure the ultimate level in customer service though all stages of a customer’s buying cycle from initial contact to order placement. The right candidate is passionate, confident, accountable and finds fulfillment in exceeding customer expectations and building trusting relationships.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Receive and respond to incoming e-mail and telephone inquiries
  • Interpret customers’ technical specifications
  • Perform calculations for gas/liquid flow, exhaust flow and electrical
  • Specify components to meet the customer’s application and specification
  • Guide customers to the right product line for their application
  • Prepare P&ID’s using AutoCAD, production specifications, and support documents for bids and RFQ’s
  • Code navigation to ensure design is compliant
  • Develop proposals and quotations with accuracy and efficiency
  • Complete timely follow-ups
  • Effectively negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms and conditions
  • Identify and foster new customer relationships, as well as maintain and grow existing ones
  • Provide technical guidance to internal and external customers
  • Coordinate with Product Engineering and Customer Service to resolve customer issues
  • Onsite presentation on an as needed basis
  • Attend corporate tradeshows

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical)
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • 3-D Modeling
  • Ability to analyze and understand costs for highly engineered products
  • 2 Yrs. Work Experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
