Position Overview:

The objective of this position is to provide on-going specialty gas equipment support at a R&D facility for a Fortune 500 Company in Silicon Valley. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by anticipating and meeting the customer’s operational needs and commitments. The Field Service Engineer will also be responsible for interfacing daily and fostering relationships with various departments at the facility including EH&S, engineering, and operations. This position requires an in-depth understanding of gas and chemical applications and expert proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain standard and custom VERSA-GAS™ and SEMI-GAS® gas delivery equipment
  • Train equipment operators
  • Identify, analyze, and repair equipment failures
  • Order and install new components
  • Research and answers customer questions
  • Determine and recommend VERSA-GAS™ or SEMI-GAS® products or services
  • Perform equipment modifications and updates
  • Interface with various equipment stakeholders
  • Respond to emergency calls as required
  • Prepare and maintain system and service records and reports
  • Meet industry safety standards and follow facility safety instructions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in servicing high purity specialty gas equipment or equivalent related experience
  • Must be familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • A clean, well-manicured appearance
  • Be able to sit, stand, walk, touch, see and hear
  • Be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Be able to wear safety equipment
