Applied Energy Systems Showcases Its Field Service Offerings to Optimize SEMI-GAS® Systems Operations in Real-World Process Environments

Field Services Division Provides Full Range of Systems-Related Support to Ensure Its Gas Delivery Solutions Perform to Premier Standards of Safety and Excellence in the Field

MALVERN, PA, October 30, 2015 – Applied Energy Systems, producer of the SEMI-GAS® industry-leading line of ultra high purity gas source and distribution systems with robust control technology, is showcasing the systems-level services it provides beyond equipment manufacture, which ensure optimal functioning of its equipment in working production environments. For its SEMI-GAS® ultra high purity gas delivery solutions, those services include analytical testing, equipment installation and validation, commissioning, start-up and training, maintenance and repairs, refurbishments, and system upgrades and/or expansions. The division also provides turnkey high and ultra high purity process piping solutions for various environments and applications.

These field services extend the gas delivery expertise used to manufacture SEMI-GAS® production-ready systems to the field, to ensure that those solutions meet the requirements for each customer’s distinct operating environments. The company’s longstanding track record supporting highly stringent and specialized ultra high purity gas delivery applications, like those in the semiconductor industry, provides the Field Services team with a profound understanding of the high-tech, regulatory-driven environments in which SEMI-GAS® products must perform.

The division provides support for every stage of the equipment lifecycle, including:

  • Analytical testing by a certified team of QA specialists to ensure SEMI-GAS® systems uphold SEMI S2 standards and meet helium leak testing criteria to 1.0 x 10-9 Atm-cc/sec.
  • Equipment installation and commissioning to optimize system integrity on-site and properly integrate SEMI- GAS® systems within the larger production and process environment.
  • Equipment start-up and training led by specialized field service technicians and engineers who teach facility staff how to seamlessly and safely run SEMI-GAS® gas equipment.
  • Equipment maintenance and repairs to mitigate operational disruptions with proactive system support and on- demand troubleshooting.
  • System upgrades and / or expansions as needed to further enhance SEMI-GAS® systems in line with evolving regulatory and production requirements.

“By serving our clients well beyond initial equipment delivery, our field services division ensures that the gas delivery systems we create are optimized for safety, performance, and purity in the environments for which they were designed,” said Jim Murphy, General Manager of Applied Energy Systems. “These services are particularly valuable to our SEMI-GAS® customers, since ultra high purity gas delivery systems are complex, and their optimal performance is mission critical to successful production output. Our field service capabilities are a natural extension of our equipment expertise, and through them we can provide higher levels of value to our customers throughout their system’s lifecycle.”
