ARM Purification Division Relocates to Applied Energy Systems’ Malvern, PA Headquarters; Colorado Facility Maintained for Research & Development

Centralization of Manufacturing Supports Improved Purifier Lead Times, Manufacturing Control, and Quality Assurance

MALVERN, PA, February 10, 2021Applied Energy Systems (AES), provider of high and ultra high purity gas systems, services, and solutions—including design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and expert field services—announced that it has completed the relocation of the manufacturing segment of its ARM Purification division from Colorado Springs, CO to its corporate headquarters in Malvern, PA. By centralizing the manufacturing of AES’ gas delivery product lines and ARM Purification’s gas purifier technologies, the company can provide its customers for all divisions with an improved experience and greater product availability.

“ARM Purification’s product lines act as a natural extension of our gas delivery systems,” said Steve Buerkel, President of Applied Energy Systems. “Now operating under one roof, our purifier experts can more effectively collaborate with our systems engineers to provide our customers better lead times, improved manufacturing controls, and more stringent quality assurance.”

Within AES’ existing 33,000-square-foot facility in Malvern, 2,800 square feet of the space has been dedicated to purifier vessel manufacturing in a Class 1,000 cleanroom. All manufacturing capabilities for ARM Purification’s product lines have been integrated, including its Point-of-Use Nova™ series, Point of Use Pro-Panel™ Series, and Advantage™ Micro-Bulk and Bulk purifier systems.

The ARM Purification division will maintain a specialized, 2,000-square-foot facility in Colorado Springs dedicated to research and development activities for its purifier product lines, as well as to activate purifiers once manufactured. This space will contain sophisticated analytical instruments for testing and validating various purifier media as well as developing new media.

“A primary objective of AES is to continue to innovate and advance our technology to meet the ever-evolving demands of our customers,” said Kevin Craft, Business Development Manager at Applied Energy Systems. “By keeping the sole focus of our Colorado facility on purifier R&D, we are committing to the development of new technologies and product lines that meet the purification demands of those working with high and ultra high purity gas.”

Jim Murphy, General Manager of AES added: “We are excited to welcome the ARM Purification manufacturing team to our Malvern facility, and to improve our collective efficiencies to provide a better and more expedient customer experience.”
