2019 Success Positions Applied Energy Systems for Continued Growth in the New Year

AES’ Momentum Fueled by New Product Enhancements and Offerings, Key Customer Wins, and Complete Integration of Its New Purifier Division

MALVERN, PA, January 6, 2019 — Applied Energy Systems (AES), provider of high and ultra high purity gas systems, services, and solutions—including design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and expert field services—reported a successful close to the year that poises the company for greater growth and innovation in 2020. Positive results were driven in large part by the continued performance of its five divisions, the addition of new customer-driven product offerings, and the further integration of ARM Purification, AES’ specialty gas purifier division, which was acquired in October of 2018.

In order to meet its customers’ stringent demands for process control and versatility, AES enhanced a number of its solutions in 2019 with new features and capabilities in line with market demand. Examples include its standard SEMI-GAS® Xturion™ LPX™ (Liquid Push System), which was modified in order to support the supply of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), which requires a dry, low pressure environment. AES also updated its SEMI-GAS® GigaGuard™ Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with new features to enhance the device’s speed, reliability, safety, and efficiency. The controllers now include Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 Series PLC CPU, enabling real-time performance data exchange to support a variety of Industry 4.0 initiatives.

In a significant customer win for the year, AES was selected by a global industrial technology leader to provide systems from its premier SEMI-GAS® line to their new facility. The products—including the Centurion™, Nanoturion™, Megaturion™, Decaturion™, and Xturion™ LPX™—will be utilized to safely house and deliver hazardous gases as part of its processes to manufacture tooling and industrial materials to decrease possible contaminations, reduce operator error, and increase production capacity.

The company also continued to integrate its ARM Purification division into the AES family, delivering Point-of-Use, Micro-Bulk, and Bulk gas purifiers to new and existing customers alike. With the addition of ARM, along with its Apex Precision Welding, Applied Services and Applied Solutions divisions, AES is now able to provide customers with comprehensive solutions for their full range of high and ultra high purity gas applications and requirements.

“This year we focused on our commitment to providing our customers end-to-end gas delivery solutions—from the gas delivery equipment to the purifier, to expert welding and to advanced training, services, and support,” said Jim Murphy, General Manager of Applied Energy Systems. “As we turn our attention to the new year, we look forward to continuing to support innovation across industries by offering new and cutting-edge equipment and system features to our customers.”
